Dr. Ardelle Piper is a Royal College Certified OB/GYN located in Ottawa, ON, Canada. She achieved her medical degree (MD) at the University of British Columbia in 2006, then Obstetrics & Gynecology residency and M.Ed in Saskatchewan in 2013. In 2014 she pursued subspecialty training in Midlife Women’s Health at The Shirley E. Greenberg Women's Health Centre in Ottawa, and has been a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (NCMP/ MSCP) since.
In 2020, Dr Piper pivoted her practice to telemedicine, not only to continue to provide care remotely but also to offer care to those in rural areas. Her practice now offers videoconference “e-referral” assessments to women across Ontario. As a pioneer in telemedicine, she also offers guidance and coaching directly to health care providers (also known as “e-consults”) through both the Champlain BASE E-Consult Service and the Ontario Telemedicine Network E-Consult platform. Her practice focuses on menopause education, hormone therapy, post-cancer thriver-ship, sexual function, and preventive health promotion.
As a subject matter expert in menopause and midlife women's health, Dr. Piper frequently presents seminars and workshops to other health care providers, helping to increase the understanding and access to menopause care by primary care practitioners. She also advocates for better public health education, and is increasingly present at women’s health events and workplace wellness seminars.
