The Atlantic Association of Professional Electrologists is a non-profit association established in 1988 to unite practicing electrologists within the four Atlantic provinces.  The aim of the AAPE is to establish a higher standard for the profession of electrolysis to benefit both the practitioner and the client. 

Many women are faced with unwanted facial or body hair growth during menopause.  Hormonal changes can have an effect on hair follicles, especially those located on the chin, upper lip, cheeks, and neck, to become more active and produce thicker, coarser and darker hairs.  Electrolysis is one way to successfully remove the coarse, stubborn hair.  

AAPE is a volunteer association, driven by it's membership.  The association is affiliated with the Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Associations (FCEA) which allows AAPE  to offer certification to members who successfully complete the FCEA certification exam.
