Hot Bloomers Menopause Support is a Collaboration Between  Every Woman’s Centre and The Cape Breton Centre for Sexual Health.

The idea for Hot Bloomers began in 2024, when Wanda Earhart of Every Woman’s Centre & Vanessa Walker of the Cape Breton Centre for Sexual Health started a conversation about developing a program specifically to support women in all stages of Menopause. The first group was launched in March of 2025. 

The program consists of 5 week sessions that present guest speakers on health related topics associated with  Menopause, as well as physical fitness plans and mental health support - including yoga and art therapy. 

Based on feedback received following the sessions, the Hot Bloomers have learned participants are most especially appreciative of being in a room with others who completely understand the issues they face. They feel complete validation and free to share their individual symptoms and offer support to each other. This group has been humbled by the connections since it's inception. 

The Bloomers look forward to expanding the program and reaching women in the community as word spreads about this opportunity for an inspired journey through this complicated time in life.
